About The Role
The Human Resources Associate provides foundational HR and operational support to the Acuity business as part of the Acuity Human Resources team. This role focuses on delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality administrative and coordination support across the employee lifecycle while developing core HR knowledge and skills.
The Associate works closely with the Acuity HR team, Acuity Management, Acuity employees, Corporate HR specialty groups and Acuity vendors to ensure HR processes run smoothly and provide a positive employee experience. This role is designed for an early-career HR professional looking to grow into a Human Resources Generalist role.
What You'll Do
HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Coordination
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities to ensure a smooth employee experience
- Prepare and track new hire documentation and required pre-employment activities
- Maintain employee records and HR trackers, ensuring accuracy and data integrity
- Support employment changes including location changes, job changes, and terminations
Background Check & Pre-Employment Screening Support
- Initiate background check requests and monitor completion status
- Track screening progress and follow up with candidates as needed
- Maintain accurate screening records and documentation
- Escalate discrepancies, delays, or concerns to HR team members for review and adjudication
- Support reporting and audit preparation related to pre-employment screening
HR Systems, Documentation & Reporting
- Enter and maintain employee data in HR systems and internal trackers
- Generate routine HR reports and perform data audits for accuracy
- Maintain HR templates, process documentation, and shared team resources
- Support updates to HR intranet pages and internal HR materials
Employee Support & HR Service Delivery
- Serve as a first point of contact for routine HR questions and direct inquiries appropriately
- Provide timely, professional, and customer-focused support to employees and managers
- Assist with scheduling HR meetings, training sessions, and employee communications
Compliance & Process Support
- Track completion of required compliance training and follow up as needed
- Assist with HR audits and documentation collection
- Support coordination of documentation related to leaves, accommodations, and compliance requirements
Team & Project Support
- Provide administrative and coordination support for HR projects and initiatives
- Assist during periods of increased business demand and workforce activity
- Help document and improve HR processes and workflows

Basic Qualifications
What You Will Need To Succeed
- 1 years of experience in HR, operations, administrative, or coordination roles
- Experience working with confidential materials
- Demonstrated organizational skills and experience managing multiple ongoing projects
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment while demonstrating strong initiative, ownership, and self-direction
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Previous remote work experience
- Experience with ADP, QuickBase, or other HRIS systems
- Experience working in a staffing, consulting, legal services, or high-volume hiring environment
